How Raven X works with Follow Up Boss
Two separate things. The extension works on the Follow Up Boss page you have open, with nothing to connect. The connection to your own Follow Up Boss account lets EVE read it in the background, even with Follow Up Boss closed.

- Opens to the person
- Open a contact in Follow Up Boss and Raven X switches to its People tab and reads who is on the screen. Follow Up Boss is one of the sites Raven X is built for, so there is nothing extra to allow.
- Recognizes them
- EVE matches the contact to your Raven contacts by email, then phone, then full name. When two of your contacts share that phone or name, she says so instead of picking one.
- Shows what matters
- For a match: their stage, how warm they are, when you were last in touch and the next best action, plus a small card in the corner of the Follow Up Boss page.
- One click to act
- Draft an email or a text, call, get a prep brief before you talk, or watch the relationship. Someone not in Raven yet can be drafted to or added to Raven in one click.
- Offers the connection
- If Follow Up Boss is not connected yet, Raven X offers Connect Follow Up Boss right there on the page.

- How it connects
- Your own Follow Up Boss API key. It is checked with Follow Up Boss before anything is saved, stored encrypted, and never shown again.
- Who comes in
- Every person assigned to you becomes, or matches, one of your contacts in Raven. People assigned to a teammate, or to no one, stay out.
- Their history
- Their texts, calls and emails land in that contact's conversation in Raven, going back up to 120 days on the first sync.
- How often
- About every 12 minutes, with no page open. Each pass reads up to 500 people and the history of 40, so a large account fills in over the first few passes.
- What EVE does with it
- She notices who is waiting on a reply and who has gone quiet, drafts the follow-up from what they actually said, and puts it in your daily briefing. A draft waits for your approval unless you have set follow-ups to send automatically.
- What goes back to Follow Up Boss
- When EVE sends a follow-up to a contact linked to Follow Up Boss, a short note goes on that contact: that EVE sent a text or an email, the subject, and the start of the message. Switch it off with Log EVE activity to Follow Up Boss.
How to connect Follow Up Boss
- In Follow Up Boss, open Admin, then API. Create an API key and copy it. Follow Up Boss shows it once.
- In Raven, open Settings, then Integrations, then CRM connections, and choose Follow Up Boss. Or, on any Follow Up Boss page, choose Connect Follow Up Boss in Raven X.
- Paste the key. Raven checks it with Follow Up Boss, saves it, and starts the first sync right away.
What it never does
- Puts no one from Follow Up Boss into your Raven lead queue. They arrive as your contacts, not as new leads.
- Changes no stage, owner or contact details in Follow Up Boss. The note is the only thing it writes.
- Brings back no contact you archived or deleted in Raven.
- Reaches no one who is paused, opted out or marked do not contact in Raven. Those switches apply to Follow Up Boss contacts exactly as to anyone else.
- Sends nothing through Follow Up Boss. EVE sends through Raven.
- Never asks for your Follow Up Boss password. Delete the key in Follow Up Boss, or disconnect in Settings, and reading stops.

On a team, each agent connects with their own API key, so EVE works the contacts assigned to that agent in Follow Up Boss, and each agent's briefing is their own. Nobody else's drafts appear in yours.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the extension and the connection?
The extension works on the Follow Up Boss page you have open: EVE recognizes the contact and offers the next step. The connection, made with your API key, lets EVE read every contact and their texts, calls and emails in the background, about every 12 minutes, whether or not Follow Up Boss is open.
Does a Follow Up Boss admin need to approve the connection?
Only if your account owner has limited who can create API keys. Otherwise you create your own key in Admin, then API, and paste it into Raven. Nothing else in your Follow Up Boss account changes.
Does EVE send messages from Follow Up Boss on her own?
No. EVE sends through Raven, never through Follow Up Boss. A follow-up waits for your approval unless you have set follow-ups to send automatically. When EVE sends one, she logs a short note on the contact in Follow Up Boss.
Will my Follow Up Boss contacts show up as new leads?
No. Each person becomes one of your contacts in Raven, never a new lead in the lead queue, and a contact you archived or deleted in Raven is not brought back.
Is Raven X for Follow Up Boss available in every state?
Yes. Raven X works in every US state. It does not depend on an MLS agreement or a state's forms.
How do I disconnect?
Disconnect in Raven under Settings, then Integrations, then CRM connections at any time, or delete the API key in Follow Up Boss. Either way EVE stops reading your account.
